A note from our principal
A school built for learning in a changing world
Welcome families, new and old, to ISBC! We combine high academic standards with a deeply supportive environment, knowing that children learn best when they feel confident, known, and inspired.
Decades of research show that children who learn a second language early develop stronger cognitive flexibility, problem-solving skills, and executive function. In our classrooms, bilingualism is not an add-on, it is a powerful framework for learning that strengthens attention, memory, and academic performance across subjects. However, families do not need to speak French at home. Our immersive, expertly guided program allows children to acquire language naturally at school, while families remain fully supported every step of the way.
While we are excited for you to explore our offerings online, the best way to understand our unique approach is to visit our campus, observe our classrooms, and meet our teachers. We welcome families from all linguistic backgrounds and look forward to learning about your child.

Preschool
& Kindergarten
Through our project and play-centered learning, our students are exposed to an array of hands-on experiences and social interactions that set the stage for academic success and a love of learning.
French knowledge is not required for Preschool and Kindergarten enrollment.
At our international preschool, students are immersed in French 80% of the time. Research shows that early exposure to a second language in an immersive setting helps children absorb grammar and language structures more effectively. As they progress, we gradually increase English instruction, reaching a balanced 55% French and 45% English by elementary school.

Raising a Trilingual Child
When Nadia enrolled her preschool daughter, she had one major concern: they didn’t speak French at home. In this heartfelt testimonial, Nadia shares how the school’s small class sizes, structured play, and dedicated teachers helped her daughter adapt effortlessly, demonstrating that language barriers do not have to be obstacles.
Elementary School
The Elementary curriculum develops bridges between the French Ministry of National Education program and the US Common Core to ensure students build a strong foundation for success in middle and high school and beyond.
The International Track is designed to prepare students with no prior French to eventually transition into the bilingual track.
Admissions Requirements:
Strong English language skills, which will be assessed during the admissions process.
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, along with a willingness and interest in learning a new language.
*Students who are bilingual or demonstrate strong language aptitude are considered strong candidates for the program.
